I am an experienced supervisor who is passionate about supporting his supervisees to develop their experience, skills and self-understanding and their clinical practice. While specialising in experiential and emotion-focused models, I have supervisees who work across a range of modalities. I am an APHRA-approved psychology supervisor and is registered as a certified supervisor with the International Society of Emotion Focused Therapy. I provide individual supervision for psychologists and counsellors in my private practice and work as an external clinical supervisor providing individual clinical supervision to a team of therapeutic counsellors.

I run a monthly supervision group where I provides supervisees with an introduction to the clinical aspects of experiential and emotion focused work. And I have been providing emotion-focused supervision and assisting with training alongside my colleagues at the Australian Institute of Emotion Focused Therapy over several years.

Group Supervision in Process Experiential and Emotionally Focused Practice

An open supervision group for practitioners wanting to develop their experiential and emotion-focused practice, facilitated by an experienced emotion-focused practitioner.

The supervision group hopes to:

  • Help practitioners, who are aware of and/or have trained in EFT, to consolidate and expand the use of an experiential and

emotion-focused approach in their counselling practice.

  • Provide a safe environment for practitioners to explore and support the development of their self-as-therapist.

  • Provide opportunities for mutual support and to share experiences of the EFT journey with like-minded practitioners.

  • Help identify and develop an understanding of how the clinical framework of EFT and experiential modalities link with counselling practice.

‘In-mode’ supervision is a model of EFT supervision developed in Australia. It involves the practitioner performing supervision in the same way one would work with a client. Markers are identified and worked with in the moment-to-moment process of the supervisee’s experience.

4th Monday of the month from 7:30pm to 9pm at the Hurstwood Clinic, South Yarra

Cost: $55 (includes GST)

EFT Case-formulation and presentation. In this mode of supervision, a client case formulation is performed from an emotion focused and experiential perspective.

“training has to be experiential, you have to work with emotion, and you have to work with yourself”
